How do I rename a field in a table?

To rename a field in a table, you would need to use a stored procedure to do this.

     sp_rename 'table.field','new_name','Type'

So to rename the field Name in tblEmployee to PersonName then you would use the following

     sp_rename 'tblEmployee.Name','PersonName','COLUMN'
