This page is intended to show you were you can get free as complete as possible software from the Internet. As you already know you can get a free document management application from this website so that area won't be covered. The decision to download any software mentioned here is yours, so if something goes wrong, you can't blame me. DatabaseOracle, the big database corporation seems to have released certain versions of their software to the public for free. On the front page, simply click on the download link at the top and then choose what you want to download. I should point that they are probably only available for research and not for company use.

MySQL is a giant in the Open Source database world. Here you will be able to download its own database server and also one belonging to SAP ( MaxDB ). It may not have the same power and features of Oracle and Microsoft but you still can't go wrong.

SQL Server, okay, its not the full version but its a version that you can get to grips with. If you have MS Access then you can administer the database with ease otherwise its command driven. However if you install a demo of the full version complete with tools, the tools can be used to administer MSDE.

CompilersBorland at time to time will release an old version of its developments tools for people to download. C++, Delphi, Java and C# are all there for the taking.

GamesRock Star Games, creators of the now famous "Grand Theft Auto 3" have released the predecessor on the net for free. There's also a tank game that can be downloaded as well...

Business SuitesSoftware 602 has produced a suite that is good enough to rival Office for the simple things, the things that most people probably only use a word processor and a spreadsheet for. You can get a freeware version for solo users or buy a licence for offices.

Open Office is similar to the package above, the only difference is that you can download the complete source code to the application to tinker with. Its also not just limited to the Windows environment.
